A luxuriously rich recipe of deep-fried koftas reinforced with the goodness of greens like spinach, coriander and green chillies, cooked in a rich gravy enriched with cream.
- Green chilly
- Processed cheese
- Corn flour
- Bread crumbs
- 5 spice powder
- Roomali roti
STEP 1 : PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS
Wash the fresh produce. Roughly chop the spinach, green chilies and coriander. Grate the paneer.
STEP 2 : PREPARE THE KOFTAS
In a bowl, add chopped spinach, green chilies and half of the coriander. Add processed cheese, grated paneer and salt to taste. Add corn flour, maida and breadcrumbs. Mix well and make six portions. Roll into a bowl and press slightly with your fingers. Seal the ends to make a patty.
STEP 3 : FRY THE KOFTAS
In a pot add oil to deep fry. Once the oil is hot, deep fry the koftas till golden brown. Remove and let the excess oil drain on a paper towel.
STEP 4 : PREPARE THE GRAVY
In a pan, heat the gravy. Add water for consistency. Add 5 spice powder, cream and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
STEP 5 : PLATE YOUR DISH
Transfer the gravy into a plating dish. Place the koftas on top of it and garnish with remaining coriander. Serve with hot roomali rotis.
